We met 26 years ago at Washington College in Chestertown, MD and were friends. After graduation, we went our separate ways. We both thought very highly of each other while at college and through the years would reflect on the other in a wistful way. Fast forward 23 years – standing in a college hangout surrounded by old friends, we found each other again. Eyes met, a laugh was shared, a spark flew, and kismet! Dating started immediately and love followed almost immediately after that.
We both believe that it was meant to happen this way – that we were meant to meet when we were in our 40's so that we could truly appreciate the people we are and love what the other had become. As our families say, “it is a very old fashioned and romantic story” and we hope our wedding will reflect our romantic story and set the tone for our lives together.
The ceremony and reception will both be held at The Tidewater Inn in Easton, Maryland on August 31, 2013.
The ceremony begins at 5:00 with reception to follow. The attire is Casual Elegance, after 5:00 dress.
Please note that this is Labor Day Weekend. Take holiday traffic (especially if using the Chesapeake Bay Bridge) and hotel accommodations seriously into consideration.
